Tickets for flights to Kuwait from five major destinations in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Philippines are priced.
The decision was taken at a meeting between the Department of Civil Aviation and Kuwait Airways and Jazira Airways.
According to meeting sources, the cost of tickets, institutional segregation, food and PCR tests will be KD350 per person for Kuwaiti nationals who want to bring back their domestic workers.
The ticket price for those coming from India will be KD110, KD145 for those coming from Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh and KD200 for those coming from the Philippines. Contrary to what has been observed for returnees from Dubai, KD70 tickets have been priced at more than KD400 per passenger.
Ticket prices for domestic workers will rise significantly due to the unpredictable market, especially since the number of seats is very small, the country’s health authorities have limited to 600 seats per day, Al Rai said. It is expected that about 80,000 domestic workers will be accepted as soon as the flight begins.
