New aircraft ‘Dhrubatara’ added to fleet
Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the country’s national flag carrier, has added a brand new state-of-the-art Dash 8-400 ‘Dhrubatara’ aircraft to its fleet.
The Dhrubatara landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
With the addition of these aircraft, the number of aircraft in the fleet is 19.
Upon arrival in the country, the ‘Dhrubatara’ were greeted with a water cannon salute.
At the time, Mr. Sajjadul Hasan, chairman of the airline management; managing director and CEO Mokabbir Hossain; Director Engineering and Material Management Air Commodore Mirza Sarwar Jahan; General Manager Administration Ashfaqul Amin Mukut and senior officials of Biman and Civil Aviation were present.
