flydubai fined at Shahjalal

A mobile court of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has fined foreign carrier flydubai Tk 6.5 lakh for harassing a passenger on Wednesday evening.
Passenger sources said Md. Ibrahim was scheduled to fly for Dubai on Tuesday night at 11pm. After taking boarding card and completing all immigration process he refused to board on the aircraft as the aircraft was full with passengers.
Finally, the management of the airlines forced him out from the aircraft. Despite repeated request by Ibrahim, the employees of the airlines could not provide him any seat and they refused to provide any accommodation.
Victim Ibrahim spent one night at the airport without any care of flydubai. At one stage, airport employees informed it the airport magistrate.
After the allegation, executive magistrate of Shahjalal airport Muhammad Yousuf found flydubai guilty.
The magistrate fined airlines station manager Mobashsher Hossain Tk 3 lakh, security manager Tk 3 lakh and employee Ashikul Islam Tk 50,000 according to Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009.
The passenger will get Tk 25% of the compensation while rest of the money will be deposited to the government exchequer.
