Drugs seized from consignment of clothes for export at Dhaka airport

Members of Aviation Security (AVSEC) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today seized “cocaine-like” drugs in a consignment of clothing for export during a security check at the dual-view scanner of Export Cargo Village.

The substances were parts of a ready-made garment shipment of 340 cartons. 7 of the cartons contained the substance, Dhaka Customs House Deputy Commissioner (Preventive) Mohammad Marufur Rahman said.

The seized substances are already sent to the Department of Narcotics Control for laboratory testing.
