Lufthansa flight LH 444, which was headed to Atlanta from Frankfurt, had to divert to Dublin due to medical emergency. The Airbus A343 landed at 1.09 pm in Dublin airport.
The flight was over the Atlantic Ocean off the south-west coast of Ireland, when a female passenger needed medical help. The woman was taken to the Beaumont Hospital after being treated by the emergency service personnel in Dublin airport.
The flight could not immediately fly off to Atlanta, as the flight needed refuelling and other preparations before flying off again. The flight authority tried to accommodate the passengers and the crew members but they could not accommodate the travellers because of a shortage in hotel room
The Lufthansa authority later decided to fly back to Frankfurt airport in Germany with its 265 passengers. The flight touched the ground in Germany near 5.30 pm.
