New airline takes to the Indian sky

589b021594a2e_1486553621Delhi-based new airline- Zoom Air prepares for its launch on February 12.

The Airline, received its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) on February 3, 2017 is planning to start flying from Delhi to Kolkata and Durgapur on 12 February.

Koustav Mohan Dhar, executive director & CEO of the Airline said that “we are starting operation from February 12 with triangle services – Delhi-Kolkata, Kolkata-Durgapur and Durgapur-Delhi. There will be daily flights on these routes,” he said.

The airline is also planning to launch flights to the state of Arunachal Pradesh, becoming the first carrier to fly to the newly-developed Pasighat Airport. These services still require additional approvals however, and Dhar said that flights are not expected “before end of March”.

Zoom Air will initially operate one 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 regional jet.
