Pegasus receives Global Transport Finance 2016 award
Pegasus has won the “Aircraft Lessor JOLCO Deal of the Year Award” at the Global Transport Finance magazine’s Annual Gala Awards 2016, which awards the leading financing deals in global transport.
The airline won for its two aircraft A320ceo deal in 2016 with China’s largest independent aircraft leasing company, the China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC).
The deal between Pegasus and CALC took place in June 2016, marking the first time a JOLCO had been used by a leasing firm to finance the leasing of an aircraft to an airline. Under this agreement Pegasus added two A320ceo aircraft to its fleet and now has a fleet of 82 aircraft with an average age of just 5.4 years.
