United offers concessional fare for media, Armed Forces personnel

unitedDhaka : United Airways is offering media and Armed Forces personnel 10 per cent concession on the adult basic fare in all domestic sectors operated by United Airways (BD) Ltd.
This fare is applicable to active media and Armed Forces personnel of Bangladesh and their family members travelling at their own expenses.
This offer is under the airline’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
Family members are defined as spouse, dependent children between the age of 12 and 21 years. Married children are not considered as part of the family.
Concessionary tickets can be purchased any time from United Airways’ outlets only. Photo copy of official identity card, attested by a senior official, issued to the serving personnel and supporting document of the family members are required to issue tickets.
This discount offer is only on basic fare. Taxes and surcharges are excluded. No discount is permitted for children and infants.
United Airways, the first-ever public limited company in aviation sector of the country’s capital market, in past eight years operated 54,000 flights and carried twenty four lakh passengers and 6000 tons cargo to various destinations. The airline has created over 1000 jobs.
In a span of just eight years of operation, United Airways has established its brand reputation. In the domestic sectors, United Airways is holding major market share. Presently it provides connectivity to all the domestic airports with the capital by operating regular flights.
In the international sector, it operates from Dhaka to Jeddah, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Kolkata and also from Chittagong to Kolkata.
United Airways has a total 11 aircraft in its fleet – one DASH 8-100, three ATR-72s, five MD-83s and two Airbus A310s.
