Bangladesh’s flight with the United Kingdom is not being stopped now

State Minister for Aviation Mahbub Ali has said that Bangladesh’s flights with the United Kingdom are not being stopped now.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the ‘Security Exercise-2020’ held at Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday, according to a press release issued by the ministry.

The Minister of State for Aviation said that for the time being, air communication with the United Kingdom will continue till the next decision, but it will be stopped if necessary in the future.

State Minister Mahbub also said that discussions were underway with three important ministries on the situation even though the airline was not yet on the verge of shutting down.

He added that the Corona situation in the UK is being closely monitored.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are considering the matter at the highest levels of the state.
