A mobile court has fined Qatar Airways Tk 5 lakh for transporting corona positive passengers.
The passenger was also fined Tk 10,000 for irresponsible behavior and sent to hospital.
The fine was handed down in the mobile court of Ali Afroz, an executive magistrate on duty at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday.
Airport sources said health officials checked the passengers’ credentials as part of a routine program when Qatar Airlines flight QR-419 arrived on Friday afternoon. At this time a corona positive passenger was found. From there he was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital.
