Anyone returning from the United Kingdom with a new type of corona must be subject to a 14-day institutional quarantine.
The decision was taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a cabinet meeting on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said.
From the Ganobhaban, the Prime Minister and Ministers from the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat attended the meeting via video conference. The Prime Minister presided over the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the cabinet secretary in the secretariat said that especially those coming from London should be kept in strong quarantine.
She (Prime Minister) has given us the responsibility.
There were two options (entry of passengers from London) to be stopped or to go to Strong Quarantine. In the end it was decided to go to Strong Quarantine.
