Expatriates’ Welfare Minister Imran Ahmad today said the government will take an initiative to provide training to returnee migrant workers and certify them based on the skills they have gathered abroad.
National Training and Vocational Qualification Framework (NTVQF) level curriculum will be introduced at the Technical Training Centers (TTCs) for migrant workers, he said.
Besides, the ministry has plans to provide all services to aspiring migrant workers from a centralised place in the district level, the minister also said.
He also stressed on the need for language training of the workers.
Imran Ahmad was addressing a views-exchange meeting as the chief guest with the principals of institutes of marine technology (IMTs) and TTCs at the conference room of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) in the capital today, said a press release.
Principals of six IMTs and 64 TTCs attended the views-exchange meeting, according to the release.
