Bangladesh Biman fined for non-compliance with hygiene rules

A mobile court at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has fined Biman Bangladesh Airlines for transporting passengers without a coronavirus test certificate after violating hygiene rules after Maldivian Airlines.
On Saturday, Magistrate Ali Afroz imposed a fine.

It is learned that a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines landed in Dhaka with more than four hundred passengers from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at half past noon.

All but 10 passengers had a negative certificate of PCR test scheduled for covid identification.
There were antigen test reports with 10 passengers.
However, in addition to the PCR test, the antigen test is acceptable for BMET card holder migrant workers as per Bebichak’s instructions.
However, only four of the 10 people on the plane had BMET cards.

The other six had antigen tests but did not have a BMET card.
For this reason, six people were sent to the institutional quarantine. Following Bebichak’s instructions, the six passengers have no chance to issue boarding from Riyadh.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines was fined Tk 30,000 for this reason.
