Importers have to be harassed to get the goods released there.
But the aviation authorities are not paying attention.
In such a situation, Dhaka Customs House authorities have sent a letter to the managing director of Biman to prevent smuggling, theft and revenue evasion.
Several detectives recently sent a report to the top echelons of the government highlighting the security risks to the cargo house.
The Dhaka Customs House Commissioner has written to the Bangladesh Biman and Civil Aviation Authority to take necessary action on the basis of the intelligence report and various allegations. There are several recommendations to prevent smuggling, theft and revenue evasion.
