On the first day, 11 passengers returned to the UK in a 14-day quarantine

On the first day of the 14-day mandatory quarantine rule for passengers returning to the UK, 11 passengers arriving at the capital’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have been sent to the institutional quarantine center.

On Friday morning, the first day of the New Year, four passengers arrived at the airport on a Qatar Airlines (QR640) flight from London and 11 on an Emirates Airlines (EK-582) flight. According to the previous announcement, they will be compulsorily in quarantine for 14 days.

At 11 o’clock in the afternoon, the official of the Department of Health on duty at the airport. Najibul Haque said, ‘Passengers of the two flights are currently being sent to the institutional quarantine center at Ashkona Hajj Camp.
If any of the passengers want to stay at the government-designated seven hotels at their own expense instead of at the government quarantine center, arrangements will be made.
