In the first three days of the new year (January 1, 2 and 3), Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has returned 7,448 passengers on 46 flights.
At this time, 41 people have been sent to the institutional quarantine.
Of them, 39 have returned to the UK at the hotel’s own quarantine center.
The other two are expatriate Bangladeshis from the United Arab Emirates.
According to an earlier announcement by the Civil Aviation Authority, passengers from different countries, including the United Kingdom, will have to undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine from 12 midnight on December 31. If they wish, they can stay for 14 days in the government institutional quarantine center (Uttara Diabari and Ashkona in the capital) or in one of the seven hotels designated by the government at their own expense.
