The 42 passengers returning to the UK did not want to go to the quarantine
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight arrived in Sylhet from the United Kingdom with only 42 passengers, including a child.
Passengers on BG-202 flight at 12:10 pm on Monday were sent to the official quarantine at Hotel Holigate.
After immigration and necessary checkup at Osmani Airport, the passengers were sent to Hotel Holigate and Star Pacific Hotel at Dargah Gate by BRTC bus at around 3 pm under police guard.
There they will be in a 14-day institutional quarantine at their own expense.
The move comes at a high level in the context of the rise of new types of coronavirus infections in the UK.
