Mandatory 14-day quarantine for UK returnees, yet they are returning

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, passengers from the UK are required to stay in quarantine for 14 days.
Expatriate Bangladeshis from the United Kingdom continue to return to the country even after learning about this instruction.

In response to the question as to why the UK expatriates are returning despite knowing about the mandatory quarantine, the Chief Health Officer of the Department of Health working at Shahjalal International Airport, Dr. Shahriar Sajjad said, ‘Because of the risk of a second wave of coronavirus infection, many Bangladeshis living in the UK now feel that Bangladesh is safer than the UK. He is coming back knowing that he has to stay in quarantine for 14 days.
