Biman Bangladesh Airlines, a state-owned airline, is adding two brand new Dash 8-400 models to its fleet.
De Haviland, a leading Canadian aircraft manufacturer, will deliver two 74-seat aircraft to the country in February.
Deputy General Manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Tahera Khandaker confirmed the matter.
He said a brand new Dash 8-400 model aircraft would arrive in the two countries by the end of February.
According to sources, three Dash 8-400 aircraft have been procured between the governments of Bangladesh and Canada on a G-to-G basis.
The first of these was added to the fleet last December.
On December 27, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the new aircraft named Dhrubatara.
