3 more Biman engineers suspended over PM flight ‘glitch’

Heads of three engineering sections of Biman Bangladesh Airlines were suspended over the “technical fault” found in the Hungary-bound flight of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The three engineers are Debesh Chowdhury (production), SA Siddique (quality) and Belal Hossain (system and maintenance).

The decision was taken after the probe committee submitted its report that found their negligence in carrying out the duty.

Sources from civil aviation and tourism ministry confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Wednesday (December 14).

Earlier on November 30, Biman suspended six officials of its engineering section after a probe report revealed their involvement in the incident.
