Biman Daycare Centre opens

20150502183525bimandaycareDhaka : Rashed Khan Menon, Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, inaugurated the newly-setup “Biman Daycare Centre” on April 16.
Infants and children of women officers and employees of the airline will get the opportunity to stay and cared for during the duty hours of their mothers at the airport area.
Biman employees had requested the management for setting up such a centre in 2010. Setting up of such a centre is also a necessity under the organisation’s labour laws.
The minister thanked Biman management for setting up the Daycare Centre.
Air Marshal Jamal Uddin Ahmed (Retd), Chairman, Kyle Haywood, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Biman, Mashikur Rahman, President and Mantasar Rahman, General Secretary, CBA, Biman as well as officials and employees of Biman were present on the occasion.
The Daycare Centre is located on the ground floor of Balaka Bhaban head office of Biman and has been decorated suitably for infants and children.
It may be mentioned that 28 women officers and employees of the airline working in the airport area have children below five years of age.
