NOVOAIR, one of the leading private airlines in Bangladesh, has inducted three new ATR 72 500 aircraft in its fleet this morning.
The three 68 seater ATR 72 500 aircraft were officially inducted by Rashed Khan Menon, MP, Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism in the conference room of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Dhaka on Tuesday.
Besides, NOVOAIR also launched scheduled flight operations to Saidpur, Barisal and Rajshahi on the occasion. With the inclusion of these three routes, the domestic network increased to six cities.
S M Golarn Fauk, Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism, AVM M Sanaul Huq, outgoing Chairman and AVM Ehsanul Gani Chowdhury, newly appointed Chairman of CAAB, high officials of HSIA, EBL and NOVOAIR were present among others on the occasion.
Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director of NOVOAIR speaking on the occasion informed that the Airline will operate double daily flights to Saidpur. In addition to that, effective April 1, the Airline will operate weekly three flights to Rajshahi and from April 2 , four weekly flights to Barisal . With this NOVOAIR has now covered all seven domestic destinations.
He said, esteemed passengers of Chittagong, Jessore, Cox’s Bazar, Sythet, Rajshahi and Barisal can now travel across the country by connecting flights touching Dhaka with only Tk. 6000 . This will benefit not only tourism in the country but would also increase businesses activities. he opined.
At present, NOVOAIR operates domestic flights from Dhaka to Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Jessore, Sythet and Saidpur and international 3 weekly flights to Yangon. Shoirtly, regional destinations, such as Guwahati, Kolkata and Kathmandu will be connected to NOVOAIR network.
