Jet Airways plans more flights from Dhaka

477797Jet Airways, the second largest airline in India, is planning to increase the number of flights from Dhaka to tap growing passengers.

Jet Airways India Limited senior vice-president Neubronner Colin came up with the disclosure while speaking at a press conference held at its Gulshan office in the capital recently, according to a news release.

‘…we are looking to introduce more flights from the capital city, Dhaka,’ Colin said.

He said that Bangladeshi passengers would also get more connecting flights from at least 20 Indian cities.

Besides, there is a scope to connect international flight for London and Amsterdam, said the Jet Airways official.

Anamoy Mitra, general manager, sales (East India and Bangladesh), and country manager Rajkumar Bhattacharya also spoke at the press conference.

Jet Airways started its operation in Bangladesh on December 16, 2007. Now it operates three flights to Dhaka-Delhi, Dhaka-Kolkata and Dhaka-Mumbai daily.
