Mobile in the name of detergent, caught at Shahjalal Airport
A textile finishing agent (detergent) has been announced, but 495 mobile phone sets were found hidden inside the detergent.
The mobile phones were recovered from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department. These mobile phones were recovered yesterday.
Abu Hanif Mohammad Abdul Ahad, assistant director of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department, confirmed the information to Share Biz.
He said the airfreight unit of the airport conducted a special operation at 9 am yesterday on the basis of secret information as per the instructions of Director General of Customs Intelligence Muhammad Mubinul Kabir.
During the operation, 495 mobile phones of different brands were found hidden inside the textile finishing agent (detergent) in six plastic drums from the chemical warehouse of Bangladesh Biman.
Of these, 200 are Xiaomi brand Redmi-9 and K-30i, 130 are OnePlus Seven and the rest are Samsung and iPhone (disconnected).
