‘Understanding the situation regarding air communication between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom’
Several countries have canceled flights with the UK in the wake of a new strain of coronavirus infection.
Mahibul Haque, senior secretary at the Ministry of Aviation and Tourism, said the country would take steps to understand the state of air communication with the United Kingdom.
“We are investigating,” he said. No decision has been made yet.
Action will be taken after understanding the situation in this regard.
He said this while talking to reporters at his office in the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has suspended all flights amid the second phase of the corona outbreak.
Asked what will happen to Bangladeshis who want to go to that country in this situation, the aviation secretary said, “We have contacts with the Saudi government.
Those who were waiting for their tickets to be canceled will get priority when the flight resumes.
He said there is nothing to worry about.
