Pakistan is hopeful that the UAE flight ban will be lifted soon

Pakistani diplomats have expressed hope that the ban on flights to the United Arab Emirates will be lifted soon.

The Pakistani consulate general in Dubai said talks were under way with UAE officials to allow thousands of Pakistanis to return to the UAE.

Flights from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan have been suspended earlier this month.
