Bangladeshi Faruk Hossain and Mohiuddin worked at the US military base in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. They were flown from Kabul to Qatar on a U.S. Air Force transport plane. In addition, three officials of the private company BRAC International have been removed to Kazakhstan. In addition, 24 more Bangladeshis are reported to be trapped in Afghanistan.
Two Bangladeshi have been evacuated to Doha Al Uday Airport in Qatar’s capital.
Faruk Hossain’s house is in Barisal. Mohiuddin’s home is in Comilla. Earlier, the foreign ministry had information that 27 Bangladeshi were stranded in Afghanistan. There was no information about these two.
On a UN flight from Kabul on Sunday, three BRAC International officials were evacuated to Nur Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Three BRAC officials are scheduled to leave Nur Sultan for Dhaka next Tuesday.
