The Taliban seized control of an airport in Kandahar, Afghanistan on Friday. It didn’t take long for images of Taliban fighters with military helicopters, such as the US-made Black Hawk and the Soviet-built MI-17S, to go viral on social media.
More such pictures have been released since the group took over Mazar-e-Sharif airport this weekend.
At the time, Taliban members were seen standing next to A-29 fighter jets and MD-530 utility helicopters.
Now that Afghanistan is under the control of the Taliban, the planes and helicopters provided by the United States for the Afghan Air Force have also fallen into their hands.
Now the question is, what are the Taliban planning to do with these and what could be the reaction of the US military?
